Beginning again… AGAIN !

I am Jamie Turrentine, I am 48 years old. I live in the Northwest corner of New Mexico . I am currently sleeping single in a queen size bed, yes, I am separated from my husband of nearly 18 years. I live in a one bedroom flat with my 8 year old tabby cat, Querque (as in Albu querque )…oops…In New Mexico they don't call it a flat , they call it a converted garage , whatever you call it, I love it, it's home.

I have one awesome son Dane and two wonderful grandsons, Brandon and Daegan, all in the Houston area. My folks and my grandmother live here, near me.

I have been a Christian since I was 8 years old. I attended Lakewood church in Houston , Texas from 1995-2009. I am currently attending a small denominational church…funny, I said I would NEVER do that again…never say never! Since I moved to New Mexico at the end of July, I left behind a bushel basket of friends and found when I got here that God would insist that it just be me'n Him, for now.

I have learned to make and can green chili salsa. I love to tend to the flowers in my five whiskey barrels. Querque and I enjoy watching the hummingbirds. Each morning on my commute to work, I top a certain hill and view two awesome mountain ranges and I pray I never tire of looking at their majesty. Funny thing happened while my grandson Brandon and I were driving my U-Haul from Texas to New Mexico . As we crossed the Continental Divide he said, “You know MeMaw they should have named these mountains the Rocky Mountains !” I think I forgot to mention the child is brilliant!!

My prayer is that God prune off everything in me that does not give HIM glory and replace it with more of HIM. I am trying to learn to live authentically while practicing minimalist techniques ~ Simple Abundance . Money is tight for me right now, but I will tell you this, PEACE flows like a river! I am blessed!
