SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!
Dear Readers,
Yes, school is finally out for the summer! We were so busy at the end of May that I had to extend the publication for one week. That's why we are online June 8 th instead of June 1 st . Sorry about that; it could not be helped (good thing we're online, instead of in hardcopy! Ha!).
God is so good! First of all, Congratulations to ALL the graduates of 2009! May God richly and fully bless you as you go on to College or Careers or whatever you may do as you embark on a new journey! Make sure that you take God with you where ever you go!
I am so proud of our son, Phillip and all of his accomplishments! He graduated with High Honors, even with his disability of Asperger's Syndrome, he has worked very hard to be where he is today! He will be attending Texas A & M Commerce in the fall, where he will study Graphic Art and Elementary Education. Right now, Phillip and his sister, Bethany, will be going to Summer School at one of the local Community Colleges to get some core classes out of the way.
Along with the two older ones going to school this summer, Ben, our 11 year old, will be taking piano and guitar lessons. We will also be having some summer fun at the theme parks and water parks, too. Movies will be at the top of the list, as well as starting a new ‘work out' regime with the whole family!
Summer Church Youth Camp is something the kids have always looked forward to and many other church activities. We are always busy, but we love life and live it to the fullest that we can!
We have a Disney World Trip planned for the 2nd week of August; you'll be seeing and reading more about that later, too!
My husband, Charlie (The Maleroom)… we love you!

HeartBeat the Magazine would like to express our warmest appreciation to all the wonderful and dedicated father's and dad's out there in the world! We love our dad's and know how hard they work to provide for their families and they deserve to have a day dedicated to them!
What If, Daddy?
What if I didn't have you, dear Daddy,
To walk just a little ahead;
To show me all the turns in the road,
So I am rightly led?
What if I never sang a song
That my Daddy had taught to me?
What if no one was there to teach
What I've learned about at your knee?
What if you never made me laugh
Or wrestled me to the floor?
What if I never watched the stars
With a Daddy I adore?
Take me along, dear Daddy.
For, I watch every step you take.
I try to follow your footsteps.
So, make them plain, for my sake.
When I see you on bended knee, dear Daddy,
When I hear you say my name in prayer ...
I know what makes you so big and so strong.
And, I pray you will always be there.
No wonder my Mommy loves you.
You're the apple of her eye!
And, I see you looking at Mommy -
Like you won the world's greatest prize!
I thank God every night for you, Daddy.
I'm the luckiest kid in the land.
For I know that you practice, in earnest,
The life of a Godly man.
When I say my prayers, dear Daddy,
I always ask Jesus to bless
My Daddy, my helper, my hero ...
Who always knows what is best.
I'd like to thank you, dear Daddy.
I'd like the whole world to know
You're the best Dad a kid can come home to.
Dear Daddy, I love you so.
One day I'll be grown, dear Daddy;
Might have a child just like me.
And because of your ways, dear Daddy,
I'll be the best that I can be.
So, teach me your ways, dear Daddy.
Teach me the Savior's love.
Let's walk hand in hand, dear Daddy,
Toward that wonderful land above.
