"THE BLESSING OF SONS"

When my daughter Jenna was born in 1979, I was so enamored with the idea of having a daughter that I told my wife "I want four more girls". That never happened, but in August 1982, the Lord gave us twin BOYS, Joel Daniel and Robert Wade Jelinski. We can't believe that on August 25th, it will be their 25th Birthday!

Joel and Rob, fraternal twins, were the last of our NATURAL BORN kids and looking back over 25 years it's been an amazing BLESSING to have them. Though homeschooled and raised with (by God's Grace) consistent (thought not PERFECT) Christian parents, both boys REBELLED in their teenage years and got into drugs, alcohol and OTHER trouble.

About 8-9 years ago, the Lord broke through in BOTH of their lives and today they are both serving the Lord faithfully which gives my wife and I great joy and peace!

ROB, a Graphic Artist, got married to a lovely young lady from his church, Gina Chang, about a year ago and Joel is still looking, waiting and PRAYING for a wife while pursuing a RECORDING career in the Christian music industry. Our daughter Jenna will be 28 in October (Lord Willing) and she is still single, as well.

About four years ago, four young ladies I knew lost their dads by death and after all those years, I had the four other daughters I'd wanted......as "adopted" daughters. I now have many more adopted daughters than THAT!!!! But as much of a blessing as daughters are, for a man there is a UNIQUE thing called "The Blessing of Sons". I thank God for GIVING me that Blessing, on August 25th, 1982.......and I thank Him for SAVING them in answer to our prayers!!!!
