Beauty Before AgePosted Oct 1st 2007 1:37PM by Carmindy As woman mature we find that our skins texture can change and new unwanted guests start popping up like crow's feet and sunspots. The right products can help but overall you must embrace age. Age means life and experience and you have earned those laugh lines! Celebrate it and don't hate it because we are all going down the same road together, united, one. Here are some fast and easy makeup and skin care tips to help the journey be a smooth one. Crows feet and wrinkles happen to all of us as we grow older but remember that you can slow the progress of wrinkles by using sunscreen and moisturizer daily. Try Olay Regenerist Daily Anti Aging Moisturizer Cream . Maintain Moisture Moisture gets lost at this age so it's a good idea to put it back for supple skin. I also suggest an eye cream at night with anti-oxidants for a rejuvenating kick. Glycolic peels from your dermatologist will minimize the appearance of wrinkles and there are plenty of products on the market you can use if you don't want to make the expensive appointment. Try GlyDerm Lotion Lite . Drinking tons of water, taking fish oil pills and getting plenty of rest another way to keep skin looking younger. I have discovered an amazing skin pill called Imedeen Tablets that adds lost moisture to the skin. I saw a huge difference in my skin's suppleness after only 1 month.
When it comes to makeup I find that a lot of older woman complain about disappearing or fading makeup. This is easily remedied by choosing waterproof eyeliners like Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner pencils. Stick with powder eye shadows because creams will crease. Mascaras like Blinc Kiss Me Mascara will stay put all day and night with its new tube formula perfect for the lady who suffers from raccoon eyes at the end of the day. This mascara won't budge. Cream blush like Lancome Magique Blush is perfect for older skin. It will bring back moisture to the cheek and give a soft radiant youthful looking flush. Get Glowing You may find at an older age that your glow has gone. Don't fret just bring it back with a little makeup magic. After applying foundation add a little bit of shimmering highlighter under the eyebrows and on the inside corners of the eyes. This will make the eyes really sparkle. Under the eyebrows, the inner corners of the eyes and the lips are the only places you should use shimmer now as you get older. For the rest of your makeup stick with matte formulas; using a radiant primer under foundation will give you a glowing completion as well. Primer will level out your complexion and foundation will glide on easily over it. Try Vita-K Silky Smooth Facial Primer . Age Spots For age spots use a little concealer to hide them away. Take a small tipped concealer brush and dab it on the spot after you apply foundation. Finish off with powder and it will stay hidden all day.
It's finally getting cold outside here in North Texas ... finally feels like FALL!! Phillip, my son, and I walk 5 nights a week for 2 – 3 miles and just because it's colder outside doesn't mean that we don't drink our water... you have to keep hydrated no matter what... make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day! I drink at least 4 16oz. bottles of water each day! |
