My mother in law is a cancer survivor. She had colon cancer and was operated on once and some was removed... later they reopened her and did a procedure that had only been done one other time by a doctor in Pennsylvania and he flew down here to Louisiana to perform that procedure on her. He opened her up and zapped the spots with chemo and radiation directly on the spots inside her (two on the lining of her stomach and one on her liver) she hasn't had a problem since .. My poppa is battling now with what the doctor called PRE LEUKEMIA... he has already had two rounds of chemo and has had to have 6 pints of blood!.. She was a devoted mother, wife, elementary school principal and devoted pastor's wife, usually over the children's church. She lived a full but short life. I adore her as my own mother. She is much loved and much missed! Her name was Mary A. Newton. Kim from Arkansas My father-in-law, Keith, has had stomach cancer twice, surgery twice, and chemo treatments twice. The last time he ended up diabetic. Now he is healthy, working, and doesn't miss a beat! Praise God for healing! Lisa My mom is a lung and throat cancer survivor. And I walk for her every year! Karla Aunt Betty - My great Aunt - passed after having double mastectomies, she's been gone I think 10 years now. MY AUNT HAD CERVICAL CANCER, DIED AT 50, NEVER WOULD ALLOW HER DOC TO DO A VAGINAL EXAM. MY OTHER AUNT HAS HAD TWO MASTECTOMIES FOR BREAST CANCER. Cheryl My aunt died of breast cancer almost seven years ago...when I see campaigns to help breast cancer research I think of her. Whatredsaid Both of my parents Ray and Kay are cancer survivors! Bless you, LindaRae My grandmother, Ethel Belew , has colon cancer. She was diagnosed in February of this year and just a couple weeks ago they discovered that it has spread to her liver and further up her intestines. She's 79, and her body hasn't been able to handle any of the chemo treatments. The tumor they just found in her intestines is causing some bleeding. They're going to do radiation to stop the bleeding but because the tumor is so close to her kidney it is likely the radiation will kill that kidney. There is no treatment that they can do to save her life; they've given her 4-6 months. All she wants is to be put out of her pain. Please pray for her. Pickleevans 1.
