“Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart…”

Dear Readers,

It's November and that time of year to celebrate and give thanks for all that we have and all that has been given to us. I can smell the turkey roasting and all the wonderful spices that go into a fresh baked pie!   That's my favorite part of Thanksgiving… the eating!

In October, we had some wonderful new writers and articles and I mentioned that I would share about my experience with “The Run/Walk for the Cure”; to see more on what happened with pictures, check out the Inspirational Story feature with the next page being a prayer page called, “Tribute of Love”.

This month we have 4 new writers; Mari Roll, with her article called, “The Giving Heart”, Tina Roberts with, “Lord, Why Me?”, Lisa Easterling with, “Keeping it Real” and “Just Ask Blue…”, and Debbie Guinn with, “Healing the Wounded Heart.”   We welcome these new writers to our team!

Please check out all the articles and features this month!   We want to welcome back Paula, “Paula's Perspective” and tell her that we are continuing to pray for her and her precious family after the loss of her husband this past summer.

I will be hosting our Heart Beat Team Leader Retreat Weekend, November 9 th -11 th , here in the Dallas , Texas area.   We will be discussing the Heart Beat Conference 2008 and getting some details down on paper.   The conference last year was a big success and we want to make this year's even better.   More details will follow after the first of the year!

I want to take a moment to brag on our staff, writers and Heart Beat Leaders.   Our wonderful Chief Editor, Christy Good, was having some major problems with her computer, beside the fact that it was very out dated… I petitioned my writers and staff to raise money to surprise Christy with a new laptop and everyone pitched in and made it happen.   Last month we purchased a beautiful Dell Laptop and I met Christy for dinner and surprised her with it… now, we don't have to worry about not ever having our magazine out there on the NET for all to see!   I thank you and Christy thanks all the writers and staff who gave money, made suggestions, set up good deals and most of all, prayed for this to happen!   Blessings to you all!
