Christy's Book Review
With Christy Good

True Light is the third book in Terri Blackstock's enthralling series surrounding the Branning family. True Light picks up where Last Light and Night Light left off. Eight months prior, a supernova now identified as SN-1999 began emitting electromagnetic pulses knocking out all electricity.
Now, here is where I warn you that if you haven't read the above mentioned books, you may want to skip this review, as it does have spoilers about some of the characters!

Living in a time when citizens are used to conveniences such as computers, cars and state of the art plumbing are not foreign to those reading this review right now. But imagine if you suddenly lost the ability to pick up the phone and call a loved one. Or drive to the movies with your children. What if you were unable to feed your family? How far would you go, Christian or not, to put food on your table and protect your family?

When Night Light left off, Deni Branning had broken off her engagement with her fiancee Craig. Her affections soon shifted to a neighbor and former school friend, Mark Green. And everything seems to be going well, until Mark is arrested as a suspect in the shooting of a teenager. Being the son of a convicted murderer only serves to fuel the fire that comes from the rest of the community.

But being accused of attempted murder isn't the only problem that Mark Green faces. The whole of the community, with the exception of Deni Branning and her family feels that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Mark must not only work to clear his name and protect himself from his vigilante neighbors. He must work to forgive those who are quick to judge him, and that may be more than he can handle. You'll have to read this newest installment in the Restoration Series to find out.
