Dedicated to those who strive to reflect His image! ~ WRITE IT DOWN AND LEAVE A LEGACY ~ As I was meditating and seeking what the Lord would have me share this month since it is the beginning of a New Year, He led me to share this with you. I pray that it will touch and minister to your heart as it has to mine. Our foundation verses: Write down for the coming generation what the Lord has done, so that people not yet born will praise Him. Psalm 102:18 GNT And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. Habakkuk 2:2 AMP Why have we been told to tell others what HE has done? Why is it important to tell others? Why are we to write down what the Lord has done? The first reason we should tell others is simply obedience, because we are told to do it. The second like the first, is that we have been given the great commission to go and tell others in all the world (Matthew 28:19-20). The third is that God would always be honored and receive all the glory for all that He has done and is doing in each of us (1 Corinthians 10:31). And last of all, but not least of all, we are to write it down (Habakkuk 2:2)! The reason? So that when we are gone and no longer here, others will be able to read and know this wonderful God that we serve. You see, over and over again in the Bible, God has given us anointed men and women who wrote down all that the Lord had done and was doing in their lives. We are so blessed to have this to read whenever we want to. As I was meditating on the verses above, I heard so clear in my spirit, “If you do not write it out, it is lost, and you leave nothing of God for others to see, read, or know. If you do not write it down, the enemy can steal it from you. After a while, you will not be able to remember it, it will lose its power.” How sad is that?! Can you imagine that? Do you understand the significance of that? What we write down, lives on when we are gone! It lives on in the lives of every other person who reads it, then to those they pass it on to. Think of how your life would be if you did not have the Word of God to read? Think of how your life would be if you never knew anything about what happened to anyone in the Bible. There would be no lessons learned that you could glean from. There would be no insights or revelations of the awesome heart of God for His people. There would be nothing that could give you direction or guidance. There was a profound reason that God had them write it down! It was so that it could live on for all time, and so we could know! Think of all the wonderful stories we have been given of God's great love for us! Can you imagine never hearing of or being able to read the story of how God gave His Only Son to come down in the flesh to give His life so we could spend all eternity with Him? Can you imagine what it would be like to never have heard the story of such a profound and miraculous birth taking place in a simple manger where three kings came to bow and honor and present the Greatest King of All Kings gifts, while angels sang and rejoiced? Can you imagine never hearing the story or being able to read how Jesus went to teach in the temples while yet still a young child? Can you imagine never knowing that healing was possible? Can you imagine how dark or terribly distraught our lives would be, not knowing about the Holy Spirit and the help He gives to us daily? Can you imagine never hearing about how our Precious Lord was tempted in the wilderness for 40 days? We would never see how He can be compassionate and help us when we are tempted daily. We would never learn the lessons of how to fight the devil with His Words, and if no one had written them, we would never know how He did that or what Words to speak. Can you imagine never hearing how our Precious Jesus fed 5000 people with 2 loaves of bread and a few fish? Never being able to learn that what HE gives us and supplies us is always sufficient and will fill every need! What HE gives is always enough! Can you imagine never hearing about the story of the Cross? Yes, it is the most painful story of all to hear, for we are the ones who put Him there, and HE went willingly and unashamedly and laid Himself on the Cross. The soldiers did not do this, He did. He went over and laid down upon it of His own free will. Why? Love! Love for you and love for me! What if you had never heard that or could not read it? As painful as this story is, it leads to other stories. His defeating of hell and the grave. His taking back the keys of the Kingdom. His resurrection on the third day. His sitting at the right hand of the Father, interceding for you and me day in and day out, every day for all eternity. Can you imagine never hearing how the Church who is us, was built. Never knowing anything about His disciples and the many wonderful and valuable things He taught them for leading their lives, and the lives of others? Can you imagine never hearing or being able to read His prayers, or how He prayed? What moved Him and what brought forth His righteous anger? We would be left without so much. You and I would not be able to lead the lives we do today, if we did not have these wonderful stories and lessons left to us. We would never have heard or read about Noah. We would not know the meaning of a rainbow in the sky. We would not know about Abraham who was a friend of God, or David who was a man after God's heart. We would not know about Elijah and his passion and power in prayer, or how Enoch walked so closely with God that he never died, he simply walked into glory to be with God. We would not know about Deborah who shows how a judge should be. We would not know about Esther and how her life affected her people, and stopped the enemy from bringing certain death to them. We would not know about the prophets of old. We would not know about Paul, and we would not know how God could take someone who hated all that God stood for, touch his heart, open his eyes, and cause this same man to bring many to saving grace and a saving knowledge of God. Everywhere you look in the Bible, we have been given stories, written down by men being led by the Spirit of God. Why? So we would know Him. So we could have an intimate and personal relationship with Him. So that we could follow the examples He left for us to live a life that HE chose for us, one that is a life of victory. God knew the vital need for us to know. HE knew how much it would help His children to be able to read and learn from these many wonderful stories. Both the good ones as well as the bad. We have been left with both, so that we could have a clear picture, a faithful and true picture of right and wrong. Without it there would be no balance. Without it we could be deceived. And even today, we have mighty men and women of God who are leaving their legacy of what God has given them behind for everyone else. We have been given lessons and the Word from so many of God's children. Just look at all the men and women in ministry today who are doing just that. My point is this, all of these precious men and women who have gone on before us, left us a legacy of what God had given and imparted to them. Because they were obedient, because they understood the value of what they had been given, you and I have them too! Also looking again at the very first reason given in our foundation verse, beloved, the same is true with what we share. As you read in my last message, I am a very strong believer in telling others what the Lord has done in our lives. I am very passionate about reaching out to those who are hurting and letting them know that they are not alone, and that there is a better way. We can only help when we are willing to do what the Lord has asked us to do, “go tell”. Tell what the Lord has done so it won't be lost. Tell what HE has done in the Bible but also make it real and tell what HE has done in you, for you, through you, or for your family or loved ones. When it is real like that, it truly touches others in a way that is truly the heart of God. They realize you are not phony, its not just words, but you really understand. And that makes all the difference in the world to them. All this last year I have meditated on how much the Lord has impressed upon me the importance of giving voice to His Word, declaring what His Word says. As we have seen in the examples above, we would have missed out on so much or lost so much if these precious men and women of God had not shared what the Lord had given them. And how much would have been sacrificed and lost above everything else if Jesus Himself had not shared?! There is so much power released when we give voice to the Word of God. It is creative power, restoring power. It has the power to change nations. It holds within it the power to heal diseases. There is power when we give voice to the Word of God. When we line our mouths up with the Word of God and declare for our families, our children, our spouses, ourselves, our nations, and the world what the Father says, great things happen. So once again, child of God, I encourage you to not take lightly this year, anything that the Lord gives you. We are right at the beginning of the New Year. So now is a great time to get started, fresh and new. Write it down, so that those who are left behind can reap from them, grow from them, and so that we can honor God with them. Not only will you be touching another's life, you will also be touching the very heart of God! And use your voice to release the power of God this year, over your family, your children, your spouse, yourself, your nation and the world. Then watch what your heavenly Father will do. HE watches over His Word to perform it on our behalf. And His Word does not return to Him void. Have a blessed start to the New Year. Now I leave you with a letter from the Father of how your Father sees you. I pray that you will read it often, speak it out loud often, and feel how very much the Father loves you. May it bring great joy, refreshing, blessings, and healing. Until next time beloved friends, remember that whenever Jesus speaks to the Father, our names are always on His lips . Know that you are loved, valued, and appreciated, by God and by me. Naomi My child, I know everything about you (Ps.139:1). I have numbered the very hairs on your head (Mt.10:30). I created you in My own image (Gen.1:27) and formed you in your mothers womb (Jer.1:5). I have written all the days of your life down in My Book (Ps.139:16). You are My very own offspring (Acts17:28). My love for you is everlasting and I draw you to Myself with lovingkindness continually (Jer.31:3). Our lives are completely intermingled (1Jn.4:16), for I am in you and you are in Me (Jn.17:21) and I have placed My own love within you (1Jn.3:1). I give you only good and perfect gifts (Jam.1:17) and I will never change that (Jer.32:40). My plans for you are always plans for good (Jer.29:11) so do not worry about the things of life (Mt.6:31-33). You are always foremost in My thoughts (Ps.139:17,18). I rejoice over you with singing and will quiet you with My love (Zeph.3:17). You are My very own special treasure (Ex.19:5) that I chose before I even created the world (Eph.1:4). I will give you the desires of your heart (Ps.37:4) because I placed them there (Phil.2:13). I am more than able to do beyond anything you can dare to think or imagine (Eph.3:20,21). I am always there with you to comfort you in the hard times (1Cor.1:4), to be your place of safety and strength (Ps.46:1), to mend your broken heart and seal up the hurts from others (Ps.147:3). I gather you into My arms and carry you close to My heart (Is.40:11). I wipe away every tear from your eyes and take away all the pain (Rev.21:4). If you will let Me, I can turn all of your sadness into joy (Ps.30:11). I cause you to easily go down paths that would be hard if not impossible by yourself (Ps.18:32,33). You are able to run against all odds and jump any obstacle (Ps.18:29) because with Me you can do all things (Phil.4:13). If you stay close to Me, you will find great pleasures and be filled with joy (Ps.16:11). Know that you are never out of My reach (Is.49:16) and never too far for Me to save you (Is.59:1). Be at peace when you sleep for even then I stand over you singing My songs of deliverance (Ps.32:7), yes even then I hide you in the secret place of My presence (Ps.31:20). I surround you as a shield (Ps.5:12) and when you wake you will see that I have kept you safe (Ps.3:5) for I have set you apart for Myself (Ps.4:3) and nothing will ever separate us (Ps.8:38,39). Lean on Me and I will keep you in perfect peace when your mind rests on Me alone (Is.26:3), when you are not moved by what you see (Ps.46:2,3,5). Trust in the words I speak to you for they are tested and prove to be true (Ps.13:6) and will come to pass, not one of them will fail (Josh.23:14). Do not waver at My promises but be fully convinced that I can and want to do them (Rm.4:20,21), for when I do My works who can reverse them (Is.43:13). Know that My power works on your behalf, the same power that raised Christ from the dead (Eph.1:19,20), so be strong in the power of My might (Eph.6:10) for it enables you to overcome, not be overcome (1Jn.5:4,5) because I am in you and I am greater than anything you will ever face (1Jn.4:4). I supply all that you need and have all the answers to the things that come before you (Phil: 4:19 ). I am on your side every second (Ps.118:6) so don't be afraid of the things you hear (Ps.112:7) just keep your eyes on Me (Heb.12:2) no matter what confusing things that are going on around you because I am greater than what you hear (Ps.93:4). I cause the storms in your life to be still (Mt.8:26) and I bring you through every time (Is.43:2). You never need to worry about Me leaving you alone (Josh.1:5) not knowing which way to go or what to do (Ps.32:8). So come unto Me, child, for there and only there will you find rest (Mt.11:28) and that rest is yours for all time (Heb.4:9). I love you (1Jn.4:19), Your Abba Father (Mt.23:9) (Jn.1:12) |
