Meet Clara Walker (Owner): After leasing the
theater to others for about two years, Ms. Walker decided she wanted to have
a show of her own. Thus, in June of 2001, R.C.M.H. opened it's doors to
the public under the direction and production assistance of Ms. Karol Dyess,
Managing Director of the theater. For the past year, they have had weekly
shows of Klassic Kountry entertainment as well as many theme shows. |

Meet Karol Dyess (Production Manager): Karol is Production Manager of the theater
and the coordinator of all the shows. She brings the ideas to fruition
each week and has created warmth and friendliness that is readily apparent as
you enter the doors for one of the shows. There are no strangers in the
auditorium and each week is like a big family reunion! |

Rodeo
City Music Hall Live
Country Entertainment Nestled
in the heart of Downtown Mesquite, Texas is a quaint little place called,
"Clara Walker's Rodeo City Music Hall". I had the privilege
of visiting there this past month for an audition session of Elementary and
High School students, aspiring to sing for the Lone Star Legacy Gala at
the famous Mesquite Rodeo; these kids would be opening for Country
Music Recording Artist, Robert Earl Keen. As
I walked into the music hall, it reminded me of a performing center
in Branson, Missouri or Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It has a rustic,
country look to it. The Music Hall has been the home of many seasoned
entertainers who perform at venues all over. R.C.M.H has gained a
reputation for introducing new performers to the stage and it's
audiences. The warmth and friendliness of everyone
involved creates a show that expands and encompasses everyone in the theater
on any given night. If
you are ever in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, I encourage you to check out
this wonderful place in Mesquite, Texas. For more information,
please go to the website for tickets, directions, weekly shows and
auditions (if you would like to show off your talent in front of a live
audience!) |
