Dear Heart Beat,

I have to tell you that I have a tendency to keep things inside....hoping that they will get better but I CAN'T TAKE IT MUCH LONGER!!!!

I am having problems with my church and some of the things that are going on there with the teaching and all.  I believe that my pastor is wrong in some of the things he preaches and teaches.  I have spoken out a few times about this, but, seems to be falling on "deaf ears".  Very frustrating!  My family is falling apart, my children hate church and never want to go.  My husband is basically a "backslider" and doesn't want to listen to me or comfort me when I am upset about these things!  We got into a huge fight last night because he doesn't seem to care and I told him so.

I am having trouble in my business and I am worried that things are just going down hill there!  Help!  I need counsel, I need someone to tell me what to do!  What do you think?

Blessings, Tired and Fed Up!

Dear Tired and Fed Up!

First of all, you are in my prayers, as are your children and husband.  You really need to stand back and focus right now because too much is going on around you.  Stand back, pray, get your head on straight and do not allow the Devil to defeat you by getting all worked up over these things!

It's obvious that we cannot force someone to do what we think or even do what is known to be right, they have to come to terms with it themselves.  But, we can pray and be an encouragement to them.

As far as the church situation, again, pray.  The leaders are going to do what they feel they need to do, even if we think it's not the right thing to do.

I know it's frustrating, believe me, I have been there and done that many times.  I have seen things in my own church that I wish I could just step right in and show where they have it wrong, it only brings more discord when the leadership thinks they are right.  Again, pray as prayer is the strongest weapon that you have.  Where words fail by going in one ear and out the other, prayer never fails.  I believe once you back off and not say anything, but, pray for the situations and reach out in love, you will see things change.  You will see a change in your husband, your children and your church.  I strongly believe you will start to see a difference.

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers."  Philippians 4:6

God Bless you!
